"Humpty Dumpty": A Read-Aloud-Rhyme

Parents and teachers can read these rhymes aloud, and encourage little ones to repeat and even memorize them (I did when I was a kid!)

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

--------

A word to talk about:

  • great: big

ACTIVITIES:

Here's some fun:

Have your kid sit on the arm of the couch while reciting the rhyme, and fall backwards onto the couch cushion at the right moment.

If you don't have that kind of couch, stack up some pillows on a bed, or stack them on the floor with more pillows behind to catch the "great fall."

If there are more kids, have them pretend to be the king's horses and men trying to put Humpty together again!

Please leave a comment - I can't WAIT to hear from you!
